Adult Programs

Much of what happens at BUF is multigenerational. Even BUF's Religious Education programs for children and youth offer opportunities for adults to involve themselves as teachers. And our music program and affinity groups also provide adults with outlets for personal growth and social interaction.

But because we believe that learning is a life-long endeavor, we also offer educational and enrichment programs geared specifically for adults.

One such program is our Sunday Forums, held at 9:15 AM and concluding shortly before our 10:30 AM worship service each week. These forums, offered from September through May, feature guest speakers from Bellingham and the surrounding county. They address topics ranging from religion to politics, ecology, economics, and more. This series, which allows time for a smaller-group discussion or Q&A, meets in the conference room (from entrance go up the stairs to the left and through the door on the right). Please watch the Midweek Update for the scheduled speaker or subscribe to the Sunday Forum blog.

Classes for Spiritual Growth are typically offered in winter and spring. At least one class - dealing with personal theology, faith articulation, spiritual practices, or religious identity - is offered each year to help members deepen their ongoing experience as Unitarian Universalists.

Adult programs are open to all members and friends of BUF, and childcare can be arranged by contacting the program organizer. See CHILDCARE for more information.

For more information about any of these offerings, contact Director of Lifelong Learning Jennifer Smith.
